A BIG reason we end up experiencing stress in life is because we stray from what we believe is important and that which we value.
As we are about to approach the holiday season this year I want to help you remain focused on what is important to you.
For an example, I will share a few things I Value. These are things I think about multiple times throughout the day every day, whether I am in Mom mode or working.
First I value myself – my health, my mindset and overall energy level. Placing this as my #1 importance helps me have a good and joy filled approach to everything else in my day, plus it allows me to have the energy for the people I love and care about most.
Second – I highly value integrity and authenticity. I think they go hand in hand. I’m always honest, in fact I’m known for giving a higher approach that is not sugar coated. People know they can come to me for direction and clarity when they are struggling to see it.
I also do my best to be myself at all times. Sometimes I’m up, sometimes I struggle, sometimes I’ve got everything running smoothly and sometimes I get behind. But I am always me. I believe in who I am and what I offer and I love the things that make me different from everyone else.
Third – I value consistency. I don’t believe what people say. I observe what they do, how they go about it and how often they show up. I may not post a new article every day or do a live video or pop out a new book three times a year. But I work hard to be consistent in what I do create and in how I interact with my fans and clients.
As a busy Mom who runs not one but two businesses I’ve figured out how to provide real tools and motivation for people that doesn’t require me to hold office hours from 9-5 M-F.
Why am I bringing this concept of value up?
Because when we center our decisions upon what we truly value it makes life easier and less stressful.
And we all want to experience a holiday season that is relaxing, fun and enjoyable.
I encourage you to take a few minutes and write down the 3-5 things you value most and then tape it someplace where you will see it daily to help remind you to stay focused on that which leaves you filling content and satisfied.
